When using contactless payment methods, only the fare will be deducted from the passenger's balance, with no additional fees. Please note that the same payment method must be used for both entry and exit during NFC payments. Using different payment methods for entry and exit will result in a fine. For instance, if you use a card for entry and a device (mobile phone, watch, etc.) linked to the same card for exit, the system will detect it as different payment methods and apply a fine.

The modernization of the railway transport system continues in all areas. Currently, work is underway to transition various directions from a direct current to an alternating current system. Once these works are completed, domestic train services will resume. The transition to alternating current will lead to energy and resource savings, cost optimization, easier operation, and increased train speeds. This transition is essential for these reasons. After the improvements are complete, the public will be informed in detail.

It is permitted to transport one foldable, motorless, and battery-free bicycle in its cover in spaces designated for hand luggage on trains. Additionally, in the fourth carriage of FLIRT trains, it is possible to carry up to two motorless and battery-free bicycles, open and free of charge, in a designated area.

When boarding trains, it is mandatory to present an original identity document (ID card, passport, military ID, another temporary identity document, or for children under 15, a birth certificate or ID card). Additionally, an electronic ID equivalent to the original ID card, obtained by registering on the "My.gov.az" portal, may also be used. Every citizen registered on the portal can obtain their identity information in the form of a QR code, which must be presented to the carriage attendant to be scanned with a validator for boarding.
